Most of my guitar playing off youtube involves me playing with myself (ooer) creating loops and stereo layers

Here is me mucking about as I do with my pedalboard and a looper. Caught this wee one on cam/mics

Using a Boss RC3 to play a loop I recorded 5 mins before.

You can record different layers created with different pedals in stereo and create some cool sounds/audio landscapes to jam over

All sound is just from the two room amps, mic'd then mastered. Basically what I am hearing in the room whilst jamming.

Stay until the end for some proper goosed amp sounds.. ;)

  • awesome work Phil,!!!!!! been too long since I heard you playing but love what I am hearing......just don't get to all the channels like I used to.

  • @mommarox2 Hey Dianne. Good to hear from you and thanks for checking it out! Know what you mean re time on YT these days

  • how do you deal with noise problems?

  • @jsycorp I don't really get any, but do run my preamp pedals and fx loop through a Boss NS-2 noise suppressor aswell, to take off any unwanted noise when O/D or distortion pedals go on.

  • Cool so its guitar -- wah -- loop input A -- amp and i dont need to use the input B at all? Sorry just wanna make sure man ;)

  • @telc666 Correct :)

  • @prboyd well I have a little pedalboard of my own and I have quite serious noise problems. I am not sure whether it is the amp (15W TR amp) or my cheap ($100~$150) power supply that is causing this but I believe it should be the power supply as I barely get noises when I power up my pedals with batteries. Do you have any idea on this?

And one more thing. When you use noise suppressors, doesn't it kill the tone and the sustain?

  • @telc666 hehe :) Thank you and no worries re how to wire up. The board you are looking at here is kinda complicated and also running through the amps fx loop aswell which complicates an explanation further.

Simplistically, just put the RC3 at the end of your effects chain and connect to input 1 with your wah. Output 1 goes to your amp. It will not blow up if you put a patch cable in the wrong bit! Just no sound...!

If you have an fx loop in your amp, run the RC3 in that (at end of chain)

  • Nice playing dude ;) i have the rc 3 and want to run a wah wah through it aswell , could you tell me how to set it up with the cables because ive hear ppl have problems an certain things can blow up lol ;)

  • @hersted Thanks for checking it out! Appreciated :)
