This is a great series on tactics and the philosophy behind polearm. Coupled with Axegar & Warblade's Polearm tutorial I have greatly increased my viability on the field. I play Belegarth, but I've been dabbling in Amtgard here in Portland, OR. (Blackspire) I find these videos have been instrumental into turning me into a psychopathic murder-machine on the Bel field, but when I try things like this at Blackspire fields I get bitched out. Even when I pull my hits 50% FML
Seriously, not once did I hear these retards tell the guy with the long padded stick to use his full range the guy is basically using it as a sword with a super long handle. Stupid nerds.
with a polearm you always want to have a small side arm on you from a knife to a wakazashi, as long as you can pull it out fast and use it correctly in combination with the polearm. he never touched on that i noticed... no common sense in using a polearm without a small sidearm.
many of the points on polearm fighting were very usefull however i think it's important to know that hyperextending yourself can also become usefull, although never while close to an ally
