Tommy was always the 'brains' behind the Ramones. He wanted to be their manager and got forced into playing drums. In all Ramones documentaries he and CJ are the only ones that came off Quasi-normal.

Looks like of all The Ramones he got away with the best deal keeping on developing himself, branching out to a new field. Though the beat is still in the Ramones gear. Like his fellow mandolin player Chris Hillman said during his lecture in The Library Of Congress: best to keep on learning, no matter of what age you are.
