A famous street racer name Juan Carlo de Silva born in Brazil, and currently reside in San Francisco, CA. Carlo has been a street racer since he got behind a wheel of his fathers car. After graduating from college, he opened his own tuner shop. Thereafter, he was able to build his drift car, and live his passion - street racing. Due to his addiction (high on speed), he crashed his car, and was critically injured. After several surgeries, and long recovery, he was finally able to drive again. One day he decided to show-up to a local car event, hoping to scout some street racers to join his drift team. But at the same time, his wealthy girlfriend Amy gave him an ultimatum - stop street racing or I'm leaving you for good! He said, "I'm sorry, it's not an option, it's still an addiction, it's my lifestyle."
The following day, he realized he has cheated death several times, moreover, did not want to lose Amy again, Juan Carlo de Silva decided it was time to stop. He is now married to Amy, with 3 children. He sold his tuner shop, and became a professional race car driver instructor, and motivational speaker.
HustleandKicks did not produced this video to promote and/or encourage street racing, rather, we produced the video to encourage street racing to stop. If you're a street racer like Carlo, take it to the tracks where your skills will be valued, and appreciated by other speed racers.
That said, I like to thank my friends at Club Lexus, Speed Element, Wheeldude, Angie Francisco (as Amy), Ryan Trinidad (driver), John Kong, Luis Ramos, and of course Jonathan Gonzales for their continued support - always. And with the magic of editing, all the drag racing scenes were enhanced, and the streets were closed, and controlled by law enforcement at all times.
