My personal opinion is that Roxas was the fusion of Ventus' sleeping heart and Sora's mind and body. Since heart is the most essential component in KH, he gained more of Ventus' traits. To be honest, I kinda hope that Ventus' heart will receive Roxas' memories when he awakens... It would cause less confusion and to Ventus, Roxas' one year would simply be like yet another amnesiac period of his life... And he'd have even more friends to wake up to.

@perkulatur well... the original roxas. ventus combined with sora's heart at a young age and because of that, roxas, his nobody took his form. So... I think roxas did have a heart.. ventus' heart
