A film from the Environment Agency, SEPA and the Institution of Civil Engineers on on the need for, practice and outcomes of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS).
This video has been produced to explain how SUDS, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, work. By looking at the water in the urban environment we can bring it back into the community and consider all aspects of amenity, flooding, pollution, wildlife habitats, landscape design, safety and water resources in a single integrated perspective. This means not having to hide water underground or behind concrete walls and channels.

I hope you are right, because so far all I can see is polluted waterways and failed drainage systems. I don't understand why don't they just use the same filter system that is used on the water Dams, you know what i mean, like a small version of it , is that possible?

I used integrated apporach to a paper on land and water resources development in 1977 for a world water conference and the need for sustainable development of economic, social and envrionment in 1986 before the 1987 blue print for sustainable development which became a gospel fro future development. There is a civil engineer behind vision for future.
