Just watched Matthew Bourne version. Wish EVERY director of dance would study old Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly movies and keep the camera on the dancers without cutting to close ups that cut the dancers' bodies in half, or closing in on a few dancers, destroying the effect of ensemble dance patterns. While I enjoyed much of the humor of this version--swishy as it was--I felt there was more gesturing and posturing than dancing. All in all, this one won't get my vote.
