Though you are correct, I believe the majority of the blame should go to the U.S. government for overthrowing an elected non-islamic government in 1953. By overthrowing the secular elected government in 1953, the U.S. empowered the Islamists, quite the same way they are doing now in afganistan and iraq.

you know what? by watching some of the slogans, it reminded me so much of what China was 30 years ago. Sadly, in 1979, while Iran withdrew itself from the world, China opened itself up. And look where each country is today.
