Just like in my "Prince of Egypt" montage I wanted to compare the Disney and Dingo Pictures version of the movie "The Hunchback of Notre Dame".
A short explanation: the little German "animation" company Dingo Pictures used to make rip-offs of famous animated movies, mostly from Disney but also from Don Bluth or Dreamworks (people like me like to call them "Diznees" ^^).
Friends and fans like Katzeklo (also co-YouTuber) already made great videos about this topic.

Now have fun with my HoND montage ^^

Music: "Someday" by Eternal (from the Disney soundtrack).

And please notice: I do NOT own one of those movies. Thank you.

don't know if there are more of these Dingo-movies, but could you make more of this series? It's great!

  • @sachatheslayer

Thank you for the compliment :) I was already working on a Original vs. Fake about "Hercules" but when I was finishing my work after a long time and Windows Movie Maker suddenly told me he had trouble saving the data I was so frustrated I wanted to take a break from that. But I hope there will be one more video of course.

But take a look at the Tarzan video by Katzeklo if you can find it :)

  • That guy who likes Esmerelda at 2:25 is Pheobus.

  • @rjvernel

I know but since the character has different names in each version I just minimized him down to the role: the guy who loves Esmeralda ;) His name in the Dingo Pictures version is Pierre.

  • HOOLY CRRAP. They better not have ripped off and screwed up "Hellfire" or else my childhood is over.

  • @BrokenStereo33

I can calm you: they did NOT rip off "Hellfire". But to be honest, I wonder how that would have been if it was ripped off. And there are no songs at all in this Dingo version although earlier productions like "Aladin" or "Pocahontas" indeed have characters singing.

  • GAAAHHHH!!! IT BURNS!!!!!!

I thought the Disney sequel was shit, but compared to the Dingo version it's a F***ing masterpiece.

  • You know what I find sad?

The backdrop for the little theater behind Clopin in the Disney version (see at about 2:52) is the level of detail Dingo used for their whole damn film.

  • @Tabascofanatikerin Thanks for such a nice and fast response! I'll make sure to watch the video when it comes out.

Thank you for your time. (:

  • Hard to believe that the Zelda CDI games have better voice acting, better lipsyncing, and MUCH better animation. :/

  • Well one thing they both still stayed true to Frollo still looks like a pervert. Although the Dingo pictures Frollo is a bit more toward the pedophile side.

  • as shitty as the Dingo pic version is. the story at some extent is actually somewhat more accurate to the Victor Hugo version than the Disney movie.

(don't take this the wrong way)

  • Oh. My. GOD. I didn't even know about this Dingo company or something, but their drawings really SUCK. It looks like the work of a 5-years-old child. Eww.

  • *seething with rage*
