  • Nice. Only thing I see that is wrong is that (from the way I was always taught) you're dropping the bar too low. For incline it's supposed to stop at the same level as your nose.

Yeah, you were taught wrong bro...but thanks for the comment.

  • @BRETZERR

but wouldnt you work more of your shoulders if you go past your nose? :S

  • @HILARIOUSKID33

Well...you shoulders are involved throughout the movement. It depends where you position your elbows, as to how much shoulder activation you will get with this movement (i.e. tucked or out wide). You actually get a great stretch, and thus, great upper pec activation by going lower in this movement.

With that said, I am not trying to isolate the pecs here either. If the shoulders were involved more, that's not a bad thing either. I am just trying to get stronger.

I am glad someone cleared that up! I normally bench like you man. The only reason I even locked out at the top of my incline press is because people like to talk shit on youtube, your going down to low, your not going up all the way, blah blah blah.. I hit 225 on incline for only 7 reps this time around because I was pre exhausted from flat and incline dumbells, But generally I start with incline do 225 for 13 reps and stop three quarters of the way up like you do.

  • Thanks bro - I appreciate that. And yes, I am definitely natural.

I hit this weight for 20 reps a few weeks back - so on to another goal. Congrat's on reaching your 15 rep goal...keep training hard bro!
