Wow... I almost wonder if this could be MY old '71 bug I sold back in 2000... it was the exact same color! the original color was orange. I just wonder this because how many other teal '71 bugs can there be?

@Grimmvald absolutely! take it off and put a stock one on there. You may need new gaskets, and possibly an engine pull if the muffler hit the apron in anyway.

@brighteyefilms I have a question. I have a 1972 Super Beetle I bought a few months ago. It has an aftermarket Sidewinder exhaust installed. Is it possible to replace it with a stock system? Right now the muffler completely blocks my access to the right side engine valves as well. Any info would be great. Thanks!
