  • I've been a big Miller fan since I discovered him at the age of sixteen, two years ago, but haven't heard of Fred Baker. This is clearly something I need to take care of.

  • @himtroy

You need to read liner notes. Fred has been in Phil's band "In Cahoots" since 1988 (when he replaced Hugh Hopper) and has played with him on many other albums and tours. You probably know him as a bassist rather than a guitarist.

  • @himtroy Fred's a wicked player. he's my guitar teacher at uni. hes a master when it comes to harmonics

  • @MickeyTheFixer Actually I truly had never heard him at the time. I only knew Miller from National Health, Hatfield and the North, and Matching Mole.

  • Yeah, take me on that ride. I grew up with Phil in the back of my mind always. Now I can sleep easy that younger men have been receptive and will carry that torch. Thank you Freddy for over-extending Phil's gift and vision. You are the "Next Generation"

  • Oh dear,bad typing & poor eyesight I'm afraid.

  • It's verisimilitude, dude, not versiliitude :-)

  • I was once attacked by a giant versililitude ; or was I. Was it really a versililitude or am I just making this up.

    Graet music in any case.

  • The camerawork I believe is in homage to the French nouvelle vague movement, thereby creating a sense of verisimilitude and a real atmosphere. The static camera would only serve to highlight the rather prosaic mise-en-scene instead of the focus being on the texture and tonality of this beautiful music.

  • carried me away -- please get the cameraman a tripod!
