Runescape Easter Event 2011/2012 Guide (Holly and Hawthorn)

Guide: First off, you head South of the new Clan Camp towards the Easter portal.
Next, you head South towards a group of people and talk to whichever Queen you want to start off with (Ice queen/Spring Queen.)

She'll ask you to help with their faction by cutting down the other sides trees, somewhat. (It'll also mention that you can get the hatchet and tinderbox from the easter bunny)

So do that, please remember that HAWTHORN TREES are Spring, HOLLY TREES are Winter.
It takes a while, so bear with it, eventually it'll die and you can search the trunk for a "Year", which you then return to whichever Queen you started the quest off with and she'll do some little ritual, then it won't work, and she'll tell you to get the "True" Year.

This is where some people got confused, somehow.
There are THREE Spirit's you need to visit, in order to get keys.
These are, the stone spirit, water spirit and cloud spirit.
The Stone Spirit & Cloud Spirit are located on the North East and West walls respectively, you can tell this by the red marker on the rocks, climb up, grab their key and make your way to the bottom of the water stream, East side and grab the key from the Water spirit.

Make your way up the water stream and use the Stone key on the rocks, then go in, use the water key on the pool, after a cutscene the water will disappear and there'll be a cave. Climb down the new rock ladder and enter the cave, then use the cloud key on the steam bubbles, you'll then be vented up to the sulking Ice Queen.

Before you talk to her, grab a hammer and chisel.
If you want, use all the nice options, eventually she'll say that she can't see Spring and wants a representation.
This is where you come in.

Find the big Ice block, use the hammer on it and make a "Stag".
Talk to the Ice Queen again, and she'll compliment you, then give you the True Year back.

Talk to the Spring Queen again, and say that the Ice Queen had it. They'll go through a little lovey-dovey thing and then the cutscene from the start will begin again, but work properly now.

Congrats! You finished one part of the event!
Enjoy your new emote & Sunbeam/Icicle crown which can teleport you to the new Evil Tree for the rest of the month, but you need to charge it up by killing evil trees in the Event ceremony!

If you would like the other crown, simply speak to the opposite Queen, and do her side of the task. Although, you only need to kill an Evil Tree now, and then immediately go back without getting a new True Year.
