Believe it or not they have a lot in common. They both are discussed and cussed at behind closed doors, in bathrooms and in bar rooms. They make mistakes, correct more errors, create cheer, and take time under pressure to come out on top. To deliver that perfect pitch. To deliver that perfect sale.

They both live in hotels, motels, on buses, and anywhere and everywhere their told to go. They drink all sorts of liquids, eat all sorts of food, both good and bad. Neither one of them really have a schedule, they sleep when ever they get a chance.

A salesman and a pitcher have both been around for decades. They both have their good days and bad days. They even have a certain power about them in society. They put up with inconveniences and are taken for granted. They have more doors slammed in their face and people yelling at them than any other profession.

With all their wins and losses, their great honor to the people, they keep human emotions going strong. Without them there would be no hot dogs and apple pie.
