Our Lady Peace- Eternal Life

"Eternal Life" was a song off Jeff Buckley's album "Grace." The late, great Buckley has said the song is about how life is too short and complicated for people behind desks and wearing masks to iniciate force against another for whatever difference they may have. He has said the song was inspired by anger over "the man that shot Martin Luther King, World War II, slaughter in Guyana and the Manson murders." This is Our Lady Peace doing a live cover of that song.

For those of you who are unaware, Jeff Buckley had a large influence on Our Lady Peace frontman, Raine Maida.

I appreciate the intent behind this cover but I have to agree with my JB friends here that it is an awful cover. However...Jeff probably would've been flattered. What an honor to be covered....awful cover aside.

0:33, "was dumb"? Wondering what he said there. I didn't know this band covered this song. Amazed that they did it their own way instead of singing it exactly as Buckley's. Hate it when they do the same. Anways, it's weird they sung it, and yeah, it's a horrible translation. The guy shouldn't be singing. Thumbs DOWN.

he said "a man who passed away a year ago" Jeff Buckley died in '97 so this wasn't recently.
