Charlie is one of the most enjoyable musicians to watch. I've been playing drums for a long time and I wish I was half as good as he is. I know of and share his influences (Buddy Rich, Carl Palmer, et al). I'm not only amazed at his chops, but also at his complete command of difficult time signatures (like 7/8, for example). I think 90% of Yanni's music is in 7/8, so it's always a good workout! God bless you Charlie, and I hope your daughter is doing well.
