Hey Y'all I Finally did it. My Big Chop. After 11 great months of transitioning on Feb 22, 2010 I chopped off the last of my relaxed ends. Much sooner then my planned date of May 27th. I got a lil antsy.
When I first chopped it off I was scared, shocked and confused. But now I'm loving it and I cant wait to see how the natural me evovles.

@tali108 I was deathly afraid to do my bc even after transitioning for 6 months but last week I just said to hell with it and I grabbed the scissors and chopped the first peice. After that first chop I couldnt turn back.

I know just how you feel. I just did my big chop last week after transitioning for 6 months and after i chopped the last peice off I just kept saying "I cant believe I just did that" its been a week and my new look is growing on me. I've had long hair all my life so to have hair this short is a big change for me. I'm just keeping a positive out look on my BC.

@dbalexan i totally understand your feelings i too did the big chop this past june 2011, funny thing is i didnt transition lol i went straight into the BC....but so far im loving it and good luck to you on your journey..please check out my video on my page and subscribe...ill do the same!

Thank you so much for sharing that. I just did the big chop in September 2011 and I am having those same feelings. I was like "OMG, what have I done...I don't know what to do" But you are right, once you learn...natural hair is so beautiful. I can't wait for my TWA to grow out either. lol
