@irishkid92 Pipes and drums in those uniforms, in that pattern of formation, wearing replica's of scottish military uniforms, is a Scottish thing. It can be an Irish based band, but pipe bands are scottish.
Otherwise you wouldn't have heard them playing Mairies Wedding followed by SCOTLAND the Brave.
I have no problem with Irish pipe bands, my mother is Irish. However trying to say pipe bands belong to Ireland is just off. Irish Regiment based, sure, but apart from that, no.

the world's largest pipes and drums band with 110 members. with myself living in new york, i no most of the members of that band..its fucking awesome watching them every year go up and down, but since i became a piper and started marching htis year i dont see them as much, but i do hear them, and when u hear a pipe band tht loud, u no they are coming down the avenue!!

@222macgregor what do you know? maybe if you had a brain you would know that the Irish adopted the pipes from the Scottish and made their own type of music. That's why the NYPD PIPES and DRUMS is one of the most well known IRISH pipe bands in the WORLD. Just do a little research before you go running your mouth...a highly respected band like the NYPD PIPES and DRUMS would greatly appreciate it
