How to add LEDs to a PS3 (mod)

So I have a 40gb PS3 that will not play disks... EVER AGAIN.
What to do?....

I removed the 40gb HD and added a 250gb, good start.
Then removed the useless Blu-ray drive... ahh, space!

I will be adding in my next video two 1TB HD's and this old dead PS3 will have been transformed into a HOT media center for all my video's and youtube watching!!!!

I'd still rather fix the blue ray drive myself,what's the use of a ps3 with no blue ray drive???what's it's purpose??even with custom firmware you need a DVD drive,with original firmware you need a blue ray drive,so my opinion is the method is kinda thumbs down,there's loads of other ways to run a ps3 unit with a DVD drive and LEDs installed.check this out "PS3 3.55 CFW JAILBREAK SLIM" this a modded ps3 unit.

Thank you so much, I got like 3 PS3s here that's the same I dont know what to do with them, one is currently being used for my son's DVD player cause the it's the model with duel lens and of course won't play BDs. and the other two is just stilling on my work bench collecting dust. I do PS3 repairs where I live and I really hate it when a PS3 comes to with a non working BD drive.

are you not going to arrange the LEDs into a "PS" shape like the X Matt did with his Xbox?

BTW the servos in your camera's zoom and focus sound like something out of Flight of the Navigator. Something to keep in mind if we need something like that for a film.
