The version of "89 Vision" your talking about is from the bootleg "Pure Anus". They recorded that demo while recording the self titled album. For whatever reason they never finished the song, probably because they already had enough songs for the album. The lyrics on 89 vision were likely drug and or alchohol influenced freestyles that were never meant to be released. That is why the version on ETUTS is remixed and has edited lyrics. "89 vision" itself is a term from KRS 1

The Lyrics "Is it because we got the 89 vision..." is a lyric taken from a line of rapper "KRS 1's" in the song "Self detruction" by the hip hop group "Boogie down Productions" from the album "Ghetto Music: The Blueprint of Hip Hop". Sublime and Bradley were well known for covering/borrowing/stealing lyrics and music from all different genres including rap, surf, Ska, Dancehall, Raggae, and Punk and many more.

there are 3 definitions of the 89 vision.

1. the vision u get when ur stoned. like if ur telling friends ur high udsay liek "yo dude we got the 89 vision right now."

2. The term refers to 1989 and KRS-One’s vision of non-violence in hip hop/the black community. so basically translates to "peace and love" thats why sublime says "we gots the '89 vision, never fuss and no fight..."

3. in jail house its used to described an anal fetish. 89 vision = sucking ass

89 vision refers to krs one who began began preaching peace after one of his fans was killed. This happened in 89 and therefore it is the 89 vision (the vision of peace). In this song Brad says "Is it because we had the 89 vision? Is it because its a unanimous decision". I believe Brad is talking about the peace between him and the girl who agreed to anal intercourse.

@JimmyPageisGOD it has to do with krs one. in 1989 one of his fans died at a concert. befor that his dj and another friend were killed. krs one was also considered the first to make gangster rap. after the fan died he had the 89 vision and started preaching about black on black crime and world peace...... brad was influenced by krs one.
