  • depends. if your in the army, fresh from College with completion of ROTC, and are an officer, have intelligence and you know what your doing for your life and what to do and your there because you wanted to not because you failed at everything else, then of course not. then your doing your dream job. but if your doing it because you sucked at everything else and it was your only way to get food, then you can be if you've been through some really bad stuff.

  • @TheWoodchopper13 nope im doing my packet for it right now main things you'll need are high school iploma or ged high asvab gt score of a 110 a score of a 90 on the afast test then the paperwork begins you have to get few references and then letters of recommendations takes bout a year to be honest especially if your recruiter is an asshole

  • @lilrog0909 I was thinking of starting off as a 15-Uniform (CH-47D Flight Engineer),and then get a bachelor's degree (if needed),and continue to WOCS (Warrant Officer Candidate School),and then Flight School to become an actual CH-47D Chinook Pilot to conclude my plan,and knowing the aircraft inside-out will be a benefit (because of my experience as a 15U).

  • As pilot in the Coast Gaurd don't let this shit fool you. The requirements always change! Now you need at least a 2yr degree just to qualify for Warrant Officer Candiate School. These pilots without college degrees have a hard time getting a job in the civilian word because for some reason that useless 4 yr college degree still holds a lot of weight. My friend is CW3 & let me tell you he was planning to be CWO pilot sense high school. Opportunities like this don't just pop up. Some take 14yrs

    It depends if you want to be a pilot for the Marines, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, or Army. Im in the Army and started helicopter flight school at age 32, without a degree, and will fly blackhawks. I know that the USMC, USN, and USAF require a 4 year degree, and I do believe their age cutoff is 27 1/2 years of age.

    yea you got plenty of time.

    now after age of 25? i'm not so sure on that. i know in the Navy/Air Force its 35 maximum to become an officer, and about 28 or 29 to become an NFO/EWO/Pilot.

    sooooo i'd assume its possible. i'm sure the army is a bit more slack than 25, i'd assume they went into early 30's for pilots, but for the Marines, its sounds reasonable. I'm no expert on the Marines, but the oldest age to enlist at all is 24 i believe.

    i'll go research and find out though!
