Turtules Fight With Honor!

And then, Shredder's been beaten, so he yells "NOOOOO!"

@MikeRugers You guys should get the Television Production Music Museum to try and get ahold of the scores.

@dragonstormx The action was better cause the writers focused less on comedy and with Power Rangers taking over as top dog TMNT had to change or else face cancelation. It took almost a year to do those 1st five episodes. Production started in early 87 Feb or Mar and they aired in very late Dec 87. Season 2 aired in Sept. 88

I wasn't aware that it took them almost a year to make 2nd season.
-
The action did get better during the red sky seasons, but most fans felt the show jumped the shark there.
-
@dragonstormx The first five episodes WERE season 1. Since the first full season of TMNT aired almost a year after the pilot mini-series those five episodes were considered Season 1 and the following 13 season 2. After the first season Playmates only contribution was the toys to be shown into the cartoon. So without backing by them Wolf had to find a cheaper alternative.

Yeah, I've heard about that one this comparison of the new and old cartoons. It was actually only the first five episodes that Toei animated, after that the developers decided to jump on the cheap fight bandwaggon and made the bulk of the fights consist of the turtles throwing stuff. So basically, even people that know nothing about ninjas would know they weren't very good ninjas.

@dragonstormx After season one yes. Season 1 since they were animated by Toei produced some great fight scenes, the highlight of the entire series is the fight inside the manufacturing plant of the Technodrome way back in episode 2.

Too bad the fight music was better then the fights.

Yes, I've tried myself, it's virtually impossible to rip a clean score without drowning out the sound effects. I got in touch with ShawnActor, I'll make an attempt to contact Fred Wolf Films this week after about almost 2 years, and see if they would be willing to grant me a copy of the score. I was turned down the first time, but sometimes, timing is everything.

@MikeRugers Yes I posted a comment on shawnactor as well about discussing this fighting theme project! Oh nice one let me know how you go with that then mate!
I read someone purchased the thundercats soundtrack from warner brothers years ago but could'nt release it because they had to sign a contract! but im sure the real fans could just keep it for themselfs rather then post it around the internet!
