@distar10 Oriental or Eastern dancing is the direct English translation of the Arabic 'raqs sharqi'. A lot of people (myself included) prefer it to the term "bellydance".

This dancer does not listen to the music. She does veil work when it's a rhythmic piece, and more specifically a zaar, which is an exorcism ritual, done kneeling, with circular head movements. Elsewhere too she does flowing moves without acknowledging the beat. You cannot dance anything you fancy to any music, you have to take the music into account. LISTEN! If you want to be a professional Oriental dancer then you have to learn about this music.
