I own 2 Gary Fong Lightspheres. They suck compared to umbrellas or a softbox or two for portrait lighting. They are good for 'on the run' lighting if you can bounce off a ceiling or wall and they beat the hell out of any kind of direct flash. But even then, if you know what you are doing with home made bounce cards you can do just as good as a light sphere.

Good video man! I just ordered all of this stuff and will trigger it with a 7D built in trigger and see how that works. I know I will want a wireless radio trigger next. Thanks

Question on the ebay triggers. Do they work around corners, or are they line of sight only?

They are RF not IR so you do not need line of sight. You can place one behind a wall and be ok. Within reason. If the wall was 1 foot thick brick/concrete you might have some problems. I hate to say it but the best thing would be to test it out. All I can say is I have had no problems in a household or office environment.

Brother! If you're going to show people how to do things, get your terms right so new people are not confused. It's a "cold" shoe, not a Hot shoe. The word Hot stand for a shoe that has current going thru it. A cold shoe is just a mount - no current.

Well the term I used was "type of hot shoe" not hot shoe. And in mounting I referred to it is a just a shoe not hot or cold, but thanks for pointing that out...
