4. However if you read the literal translation of the Quint CD in the japanese version it says. 'A robot that Wily built in the future.' Since the main thing about this game was time travel.
5. Oh and Shadow Rockman in the WS game. Turned out to be a fake built by a group called Dimension and Rockman and Forte stopped them.
6. So Quint does not equal MegaMan.
7. Besides, Inafune doesn't count the GB games or the WS game canon so it really doesn't matter. Just fan rumors and mistranslations.

1. Wily didn't reprogram Quint it was a crazy rumor that actually started when the WS Rockman & Forte came out.
2. The game art featured a character that looked like Quint saying 'I'm Rockman in the future' When you get to him he fights like MegaMan, but with Protoman's sunglasses.
3. However because he looked like Quint people started assuming that MegaMan = Quint. Which gets even more confusing when Capcom did a translation error on the GBA MegaMan and Bass. Saying that Quint is MegaMan.

@930Studios Wily only reprogrammed the Future Megaman, wheras the Present Megaman remains the same. If Wily had gone Back in time and captured Past Megaman, Present Megaman would be Quint and the world would be doomed.

THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE, IF WILY KIDNAPPED MEGAMAN AND REPROGRAMMED HIM, THAT MEANS MEGAMAN IS NOW A VILLAIN! SO WHERE DID THIS MEGAMAN COME FROM IF THE BAD ONE IS RIGHT THERE?!
