Right on, what amazes me is that he makes it sound so casual as if hes in a blues club in Chicago or somewhere. He probably wouldnt have authorised its release had he lived, probably not being happy with some aspect of it or something. The "Hendrix is overated" people will never understand.

  • @Drj6723 I love Stevie, Albert, Buddy etc. you name em I listened to all the greats but nobody could conjure the cosmos, channel a higher vibe, project a supernatural presence the way Hendrix could.

  • @HendrixFreakazoid .......There is one man that I put up there with Jimi. His name is Stevie Ray Vaughn and you should listen to "Texas Flood or Life Without You" Nuff Said....

  • @HendrixFreakazoid Yeah, it's a good one, that's for sure, I feel the same way

  • *))((*

  • I agree, best live guitar solo ever recorded leaves me stunned every time I hear it !

  • Nobody plays the slow blues like Jimi could. He plays it like he invented it. The way this insanely stellar version of red house starts off with Jimis unequaled sense of space and time just puts me in a trance. Then when he unleashes that onslaught of a behemoth solo it sounds like he's splitting the atom. I've listened to this probably a thousand times at least and every time I'm left simply stunned!

  • @sjk741

    Thanks

  • @capetown99 hope you check out 'hear my train a comin' he forgets the name of the song, then they belt out an awesome version :-)

  • @capetown99 My thoughts exactly.
