there was a newspaper article once, about a father who was a banker, he had 2 twin girls. he had a family & money & everything seemed perfect what else did he need to make him happy? One day he just took a knife and killed both of his daughters. if this evil didnt happen, THEN u can tell me we're good by nature. @shvibzik123 Rubbish! Humans are NOT, by nature as you say, evil and greedy. It is in their best interest to be kind to one another, to communicate well, and to have empathy and compassion. Especially to their immediate family and friends. ALL religions are cults, and created by mortal men (including The Bible). You can believe in a 'god' directly, without any of the ridiculous organized religions we have today. Again, agnosticism (and atheism) humbiy say "we dont know, and its OK".

humans by nature are evil and greedy. they can be loving and compassionate one day, murder the next. from what i heard athiesm makes absolutely no sense at all. athiest has killed so many people in the past. Christanity in the mediveal ages? I have no idea what God they were preaching but it wasnt the GOd of the bible. read the new testament. where does Jesus say to kill? On the "Contrary" he teaches to love & forgive. Its not about relegion i agree, its actually about relationship with Jesus.

@shvibzik123 Quite the contrary. Agnosticism or atheism both make sense logically. We have no proof of a past or present 'god' existing, so it is not important. What IS important is practicing love and compassion on this planet while we are here. One certainly does NOT need organized religion, or belief in a 'god' to do so. It is rather honest and humbling to say "we just don't know"!

I'm sure that man had stitched up good intentions upon writing such things, but that still renders him weak at some end, there's nothing wrong with that either. LRH on the other hand said himself that he wants to start a religion where the money is, and the only good intention from that is to himself. THAT'S where the problem is. Although you do have a point about religious scriptures possibly being made by a human who based it all on his logic of the world, but it STILL meant that he had built his foundation and put it on a religious scale that others would also happen to follow later on.

@ElysiumSector In addition simpleton, ethics and morality are certainly NOT solely predicated or reliant upon religion (or a belief in a superior being). Mortal men wrote all religious books, tomes, and manuscripts based on their common sense and innate intelligence for what is right and wrong. We (maybe not you) have this thing called intuition, compassion, empathy, and intelligence that helps us formulate ethical thought. Capiche?

@sophiegromit unlike scientology, Other religions address the soul, AND doesnt kill/waste the welfare of lives like co$ does. Other religions such as catechism and christianity actually HELP people. We are weak humans, and there is no denying that, almost most of us need a belief system or guidelines to help us live up to our morals. Everything about scientology sounds like something pulled from a science fiction novel, which L. Ron Hubbard used to write. I don't understand how 2 and 2 are not being put together.

Also, I was wondering how close the celebrities actually get to the "bad" parts of scientology. I don't understand how so many people can get behind the beatings and brainwashings. Is there 2 parts to it, and they are only exposed to the one side or what? If you know how this works, please tell me.
