did you know that the first 767s for Ansett Australia had a flight engineer. the maintenance panel to the right of the pilot was the engineer's panel and it featured analogue gauges and a single CRT ;)

I sometimes say that we no longer load the jet with A1 to be able to fly. Now we fill it with A4 (European letter size).

I have a question. There is a constant debate regarding thrusting during take off. I hear some pilots say that you have to pull the thrust all the way during take off while others say that you don't have to, that it depends on the situations. what's your say about this?

Thank you for this interesting video! I know there is a lot of paperwork in the cockpit, but don't you just go through some of these in the briefing room?
Do you need that much paperwork to fly, say, from Miami to Chicago?

@n310ea Maybe about 40% of that amount. Still need the Flight Plan, Takeoff Data, Weather and Notams (warning messages about inop navigation and facilities).

@DiamondPilotDan ... ten degrees longitude (at 50 West, 40 West, 30 West and 20 West, or approximately 45 minutes to an hour apart. These position reports have our current position and time, altitude, next position and time and the position after that. We also include our fuel remaining, which gets passed along to the company.
