If YOU were a real 'christian' stop judging then. That's a first step.

This is exactly why my church stays in the USA:P

This guy couldn't be more right! If you REALLY had a heart for missions, you would know EVERY non-Christian in your neighborhood/class/workplace/e
tc... , and be praying for them every day. And no, I've never been on a missions trip. Can God work through our selfishness to accomplish His will? Of course, but let's remember Who is doing the work. -
@miraclechick15 (Hope I am not double posting, but thank you and God Bless you.)

I totally get where you're coming from, but saying this is dangerous. So many kids go on trips just to have fun, but in the end, if they at least reach one person for Christ, it makes it worth it.

@greyspot00 I feel the same way, lol.

Are... are you psychic?
GET OUT OF MY MIND!

hilarious!
@MrCarterHarrison He's not criticising mission trips, he's questioning the motives of kids who go on them. God is just as real and just as present in your community as he is in the remote parts of Africa. If he calls you to a third world country, rejoice. If he tells you to stay put and deal with your home life first, rejoice. God is sovereign and He is omnipresent. His will should be done every day, not just on a two week mission trip!

This video definitely caught me off guard and even convicted me a little. I started going on missions trips every summer since Freshman year of high school, and my intention was to go and make a difference. What ended up happening was that God radically changed me in the process. I do believe that God can use anything, though. Even a selfish kid's desire to look spiritual by going on a missions trip, because that kid was me. Now, I can't imagine doing anything else besides being a missionary.
