  • We can afford to pay for insanely violent and unnecessary wars but not to take care of our people? I don't understand that way of thought.

  • @TheAdros23 you're dodging what this topic is about.. i dont support the wars but i support the troops.. this is about health care or government care i should say.. come on you're smarter than that deep down you know this bill is wrong

  • @ofcccaddy2004 lol..... like how you make out your party to be the white knights and shit.... every party is full of shit.

  • @Bronzecop and so because of all that.. citizens today should be punished for the troubles minorities went thru? you're right let's not forget history and the fact that it was the democrats who pushed slavery and in fact the republicans (MLK) who fought for equal justice

  • @ofcccaddy2004 Have you forgotten this nation's history? In industrialization the man that worked harder than a ox did not recieve the proper funding to own a home. No, instead he was only given enough just to make ends meet to slave away another day & do not get me started on the children who runied thier futures just stay alive in that time frame. Seems like you've forgotten that minorities had to fight just even get to vote despite how hard they worked which was less than 100 years ago.

  • @Bronzecop they dont pay all the taxes. they pay 70%... you cannot compare us to canada. canada has a population of 33 million people. we have more than 33 million uninsured alone in this country. why is the standard of living painful here? if you work hard here, you get what you deserve and vice versa.

  • @ofcccaddy2004 The top 1% do not pay all the taxes, where did you get that from? I agree with you with responsible spending such as on schools, affordable needs, etc. Look at Canada their country has universal healthcare only from a GDP of 1 trillion, & the U.S. has 15 times more. But the standard of living is pitiful for the U.S. is this an effective to do that. A E-1 Canadian soldier gets paid $2800 a month & half is cut from tax, but the soldier can still het his wants & needs.

  • @Bronzecop we cant raise taxes like that. the problem is 50% of our population pays no taxes at all. the top 1% of the population pays 70% of the taxes. we cannot keep raising this category's taxes. where will the insentive go to work hard? instead of raising taxes like that we should cut spending and become fiscally responsible..

every thinking person knows we need health care reform i dont deny that. i just dont believe we are doing it the right way.

  • @ofcccaddy2004 Why do you think federal tax is 50% in all the other countries that do it? So they can provide it for the people. & I forgot to mention those countries wages are up to date & doubled than the U.S. The GDP of the U.S. has enough to provide this, but to endure the growing population federal tax needs increase & to provide the staff needed. You never hear anything about japanese ppl complaining about healthcare.

  • @Bronzecop why do you assume that i make billions? and under this new health care bill, you thnink that care will be improved? adding 30 million people to the health service will have drastic effects on the hospitals. it is proven that government run health care is rationed care.
