  • Wow! That is great! I need to get a camera that can do the slo-mo. Do you also use a strobe or are you depending on natural light?

  • This is shot with a Casio EX-F1 using natural light (bright sunlight from behind the camera's point of view). I do use a flash to shoot stills and the birds don't seem to mind too mich, but I don't kow how they would react to a continuous strobe - might be interesting to try! :-)

  • The little dude sure put on a good show! Thanks for watching :-)

  • Great shot!!

  • We had a guy who makes his living shooting still photos who came out to shoot hummers. With all the hummingbirds we have, he still went ahead and staged a feeding area where he could set up and shoot using a strobe to get the wings frozen in motion. Because his time was limited and he was competing with all of our other feeders, I don't know that he got all that many great shots. Another photographer friend was telling me a strobe is the way to go - these are all for still shots. Good stuff!

  • Yup, he's plumping-up for the winter!

  • Cool!

  • Chubby little hummer =)
