Because She Could Not Stop: A Film by IIMC Dhenkanal, Orissa

This film tells the story of how women in rural areas are increasingly taking to livelihood oriented entrepreneurial programs. Self helps groups provide the means for many of this women, but ultimately it is the drive to do something different that would bring financial independence, that transforms these women into entrepreneurs.

This is the entry from Axay, Devyani and Soumika in the Creating Happiness film competition, that documented the changes brought by Vedanta's community initiatives. This movie was shot at location in Odisha.
