HOMELESS(original song)

I worked with some homeless people..got a few ideas for this song..Sad situation..Hard to help some of these people..Some are doing just what they want to be doing...

HOMELESS
Well I'm sittin', got my paper guitar.
Cardboard for my drums.
My music ain't expensive, but from my heart it comes.
If you like my songs, you can pay me with a smile.
Or maybe drop some money for me.
Hot fudge,I dreamin' of a sunday.
Wish I had the price.
But my dreams are free, and when I close my eyes.
I can dream my life away.
Things have got to get better,
'cause you know they can't get much worse.

(chorus)... Homeless, does anybody see, when they walk by and stare. Well there once was a time, when I had my life. Now I'm just what you see.

It's raining, yeh it's started to rain,
and I know I'm gonna be cold.
There once was a time when I had a nice warm jacket.
But the years have turned it to rags.
Now the days turn to weeks, turn to months,
they turn into my life.
(chorus)

Nightfall, yeh it's gettin' dark now,
I've gotta' find me a place to stay.
Well you know I'm not a bum,
I gotta' tell ya' I'm not lazy.
But workin' at that 9 to 5,
it just flat out drove me crazy.....
(chorus) So if you see me sittin' here. You don't like what you see. Just walk on by in silence.. and just ignore me..

@anarchist712002 Yup..That's me in the back yard.. This song was written from the heart about some people I knew who were homeless. The one guy had a great voice and sang with a paper guitar..It was heart breaking. I did what I could do to help, but There wasn't a lot I could do to help the situation. Thanks for your comment..
