Big Ben tolling in the background. Great touch. This was a pretty scary little flick for its time. It gave me the creeps for a good while. Poor octopus thingie. I read somewhere that Quatermass "talked" to the monster (before they fried it). The consciousnesses of the astronauts were instilled in the monster. I wish that Hammer would have kept that part in the flick.
