This Bedouin family living in a tent on the southern outskirts of Aleppo, Syria, emigrated from the ancient city of Palmyra in search of water for their flock. Water is getter scarcer and scarcer for many families living in the drier parts of Syria. So far, only few families have had to resort to such drastic measure to cope. But this year has been particularly bad, and has had a negative impact on a variety of agricultural products, especially wheat, paving way for a bread crisis that continues to plague the country, which until a few months ago was actually exporting wheat.
