Excellent song. The whole album is "top notch". Reminds me of of The Band and The Waterboys - but The D's have their own magic too. I have been doing a cover of this song on my guitar in some alternative keys. It deserves singing - truely is good music.

I love this song! The Decemberists is now my favorite group!! They are simply amazing! I saw them in Nashville and being a songwriter who sees many acts, they put on an amazing display of entertainment! I love Colin and the Band!! Buy the King is Dead! It's the best album of this decade and one of my top 10 of all time!!
