@SergeantLuke In all fairness, they didn't say she died. She could have been undergoing some kind of baptism in that water, for all we knew. Or, maybe Cloud was giving her swimming lessons.

The reason for the "Never come to a theater near you" line is that they showed this commercial in theaters just before the previews back in Dec 1997.

Man, I keep seeing the same comments. Does anybody get that the final line in this ad is a joke about how the game is this epic, amazing story that you aren't going to see in theaters, but instead on your gaming console? That was a major selling point before multi-player took over gaming. essentially, "Hey people, this is an amazing story and it looks awesome! Buy it and a playstation, and joy will be yours!"
