Likely election defeat for Russia's liberals - 01 Dec 07

Vladimir Putin's United Russia party looks set to score a landslide victory in parliamentary elections on Sunday.
Opinion polls give the party as much as 60 per cent of the vote. The biggest losers are expected to be the liberal parties, which have campaigned heavily against issues like state corruption and a poor human rights record. Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports.
