Actually many times in many decades teperature has been changing drastically.

Methane, while being a stronger greenhouse gas than CO2, isn't very stable. It easily combusts, and UV radiation decomposes it. CO2 on the other hand is an very stable molecule.

The temperatures are changing fast yes, but keep in mind the earth is still recovering from an Ice age, for us it is a VERY long time ago, but for the earth it is nothing. And if you really want to do something about the global warming try and kill all the cows they still produce more methane than any human or factory in the world can ever produce.
