2010 Mazdaspeed3 versus 2010 Nissan 370z 6mt

From a 30mph roll. Both cars are stock and manual transmission.
In the beginning you can hear the speed3 chirp when engaging 3rd gear.

Definitely needs a better driver in the Z. It has about 70hp more than the mazda, is close to the same weight, and is built for top end with the gearing and aerodynamics...not buying this vid.

@ambientflier Are you sure you had your volume up to hear those shifts? At these speeds I don't think aerodynamics would help much. Oh by the way, which one has more torque to the crank?

@estebond008 the Z... wtf my Z dynoed on a dynamic and dynojet with 243 minimum torque and 247 max in the dynojet. I have seen multiple MS3 with the same because they have more torque and less drivetrain loss. WOW big deal? Look at the trap speeds on both cars. Hell look at the ET. That MS3 isnt gettin anywhere near a 370Z with equal drivers on a road course, drag strip, or freeway pull. I would know personally :) This video is garbage.

@psmTARDCORE Come on man, lets focus on the actual race going on here. Lets not waste time talking about which car is faster on a track or at the drag strip: a FWD hatchback or a RWD sport coupe. From a roll I believe its about other factors like power to weight ratio. I am just as boggled as everyone else. Please tell me that you had the chance to race an automatic 370z. If so, how did that go? Oh and you can't really tell but at the end the Z was starting to match and pull on me.

Yes the Z is nice and V8 fast compared to say a 01 WS6.

Boost by gear and rpm. Your Z TT would have lost.

Please explain why a 370z traps 106-108mph in the 1/4mile and why a MSP3 barely makes it to 103, and that's with a GOOD driver. Everyone on youtube is a professional driver and they all have fast cars. I have videos of my car. I have videos of it's acceleration. where are yours? Good luck getting something that makes you happy so you don't have to tell war stories about something that has never happened. I'm done :)

in an urban setting i'd leave a STOCK 370Z in the dust ( i had a maniac in a Z wave a gun and chase me so i know and i was in my speed.3 the cts-v and the s/c SS ..well the v has the magnetic suspension and is

a 600 hp car (intake and tune) and the SS has full pedders suspension.

I have a Ms3 with just minimum bolt ons.

from a ROLL NO way a 370 Z pulls me.

but perhaps my S/c 10 SS or my 2010 CTs-v would like to show your 370z a spanking

from a roll the boosted car has great advantage. You hae no clue what a tuner, SRI custom exhaust and rear motor mount will do.

Yes the Z is fast but its no V8 killer.....and a lightly modded MS3 is

remeber 25 grand for a tech pack leaves another 5 k for mods

to get a base Z. 20 yrs racing!.

This video is retarded. end of story. And you yourself cant reproduce the numbers by magazine so stop being a paper racer. I own a 2010 370z with bolt ons and I know how fast it is from personal experiences with MSP3 and MSP6's stock and modded. I have been beaten by heavily modded MSP3's but never a stock.

this car will easily hang with you ....the gearing was lengthened in 1 2 and 3 and forth i beleive...so it has torque over time..

it also doesn't sound like mototr is gona bust if you take it to redline

do you have any idea what that tunerdoes it add 66 Hp in the upper rpm range..toward redline.

it delimits the top speed.....can you say 173

and it derestrict the torque management in 1.2.3

66HP not peak but after peak wher it drops off.toward redline..

now it had a fat powerband abit more air and less restriction....
