sifu lee is my teacher and he has been for these few months and he is really good teacher u have to know what u r doing michael lawerence and simeon is still there but i havent seen joe yet

Geez what is wrong with you people? The guy is simoly stating the differences between application of techniques and forms vs learning them. He never said chi sau was useless, simply that in real fight it wouldn't be "applied" the same way. What's the problem, yet you all are here lost in diatribe and infighting.

He never said he doesn't teach Chi sau. Just that he does teach sparring. Chi sau develops instant (no thinking) reactions via touch. Problem is when facing a martial artist as an opponent, they are taught to keep thir distance and will pull away, jump back etc, when engaged. Thus sparring also becomes essential to develop a real feel for your art.
