Pumped Up Kicks Description

This upbeat, light hearted song by Foster the People called Pumped up Kicks has some deep meaning rooted in revenge. It is based on a homicidal teenager who finds his father's gun intending on wreaking havoc in his school. "He will look around the room; he won't tell you his plan." As a bit of a loner, he now feels cool with the knowledge of his new found power ("cowboy kid"). The front man of Foster The People, Mark Foster, wrote this song while trying to get in the head of a trouble teen.

Released in September 2010, by American indie pop group, Forster the People, it has seen a great deal of success. Acknowledged as both a crossover hit and a sleeper hit (due to its resurgence in popularity in the summer of 2011), Pumped Up Kicks has reached number 3 in the US on the billboard 100.

@TheMilkMan54321 It is rigged on a tripod and balanced on top of big cardboard boxes and chairs. A bit of an art, but it can be done. :) Good luck.

@BoyImGhetto Thanks for the comment. You're right, it is tricky to follow, especially for beginners. My new tutorials break down the songs in greater detail. I have put up MIDI files for a number of the more popular songs that can be played on Synthesia at a slower speed (10%, 50%, whatever you can follow) I will get this one up on my website within the week.
