A classic UPA animation short.
Was inspired to find this after seeing the tv-screen version posted earlier. It's got some transitional residue, but it was the only one I could find. Enjoy. :)

  • This is great. I've been looking for this beauty for a while. I had the ultimate pleasure of viewing this in a theater last year. I hope animated shorts make their way back into theaters.

  • Wow, that's awesome! :D

  • I'm still enjoying this one on my channel page! Viewers of this might enjoy my hand drawn animated fantasy videos I made, BALDER'S EGG, THE MAGIC ARROWS, THE BLACK WIDOW, etc. on my channel page on you tube! They have narration and dialog with thousands of drawings!

  • OMFG!!!! I remember seeing this as a child and it scaring the absolute hell out of me! My father used to play the Sam Cooke record and it would be creep me out since Sam was shot and killed by a woman named Frankie. When I saw the cartoon, which I caught by accident, I was freaked out. For years I thought I imagined it, because I never saw it again. And noone knew what I was talking about. Thanks for uploading.

  • Fabulous Beatnik era song and art direction. Another UPA animation treasure !

  • i dont get it

  • i saw this at the melbourne international animation festival, it's amazing to see on the big screen. thanks for uploading

  • Seeing this cartoon, Unicorn in the Garden, and The Tell Tale Heart is the first time I have watched these after reading about them in Leonard Maltin's book, Of Mice and Magic! I've been enjoying these and other UPA cartoons on my channel page,You Tube uploads maybe the only way the public can see these lost cartoons until they are sold on dvds! Thanks for the uploads!

  • Grim Natwick animated and designed both Snow White and Betty Boop so one could figure he animated both of the women in Rooty Toot Toot. Great stuff!

  • hehe

  • that lawyer scares me

  • It's kind of weird that Frankie's lawyer was black and then when Frankie shot him he turned white.
