It's kind of frightening when you think about it. Using sound waves in such a manner. I can't imagine what power output must be. Hundreds of watts? Maybe thousands? Yikes!

Try it in total darkness after dark-adapting, see if any sono light is visible. (Will it be pink?!)

Nice video, personally, I find sonication useful for getting large molecules into solution so much faster. I haven't used a probe sonicator before; just the bath style.

This makes me wonder whether Richard Wrangham's cooking hypothesis might be right. (When are you going to review his book?)
I have OAS (oral allergy syndrome), so there's a whole bunch of raw fruits and vegetables that I can't eat (because my body mistakes them for birch tree pollen), but if those same foods are cooked or highly processed, then they don't bother me at all. Strange in a way.
