  • because in the studio, you can record a song a day. here hes doing songs back to back and if he hits all those high notes hell burn out his voice. keep in mind this song was recorded in 2001 when he was 20 and since then his voice has gotten slightly deeper so 4 steps have been lost because they changed the key and they tune the guitar a half step down.

but they are still amazing :)

  • I actually like this version primarily because I can sing at this pitch without straining my voice. :))

  • @xAndrewxLegitx i should have been more specific.my bad.

  • @xAndrewxLegitx i meant you can record the vocals of a song. like you can do a vocal track a day. not an entire song. and i actually know of albums done by local artists here that have taken about 3 days. they have anywhere from 5-9 songs

  • @jjguerra48 I understand the key change. Key changes are fun 2 keep it interesting. But if u look at ur comment it literally says "u can record a song a day." and if you meant that he can do all of it in a day then it contradicts the 2nd part of your comment saying that "here he is doing all of the songs back2back and burning out his voice." Just sayin. And if u know a record that was tracked, mixed, and mastered in 2 to 3 days, I want 2 hear it. Usually takes at least a week if not more.

  • Of course there's auto tune, but that doesn't really explain why he's 4 half steps down. Auto tune only corrects pitch problems, it doesn't get you to hit notes 4 half steps higher if you sing in a completely different key. And I'm not saying they do only one song every day, I'm saying they don't have to track vocals for all of the songs in one day. It usually takes 2 or 3 days to track an album and mix it and whatnot.

  • @jjguerra48 but in the studio there is also this thing called an auto-tune machine that can correct pitches that a vocalist may sing sharp or flat. and also, a lot of times in the studio they usually do vocals for more than one song a day. If they did one a day then it would take forever to produce a record.

  • cute

  • This version hurts my ears.

  • ahhh! very good observation, i totally forgot about that! it is so true that standing when singing is the best way sing :) nicely done

  • very good point, but also remember that he is sitting down. I sing very high in the register of soprano and when i sit down, because my diaphram(sp) is blocked, i cannot hit as high. also, he is playing and moving a lot at the same time. All those things dramatically affect your ability to sing properly. mae is a-mae-zing (hehe)
