  • I like seeing the chisel punch for the tubes. Most people would fill the gap as is. Good fab work.

  • @Bombjockey9 no,it is a fat tipped screwdriver that has been specified by the contractor to be used for this job.look closelyat how nice a job it does.think about the profile and that the tube is in effect beeing crimped perfectly to the three smaller tubes.and now lets check your channel

  • Are you by chance purging the inside? i always wanted to try purging the inside when making headers. it would make a seamless weld if done right and would help flow and not create turbulence its just a theory of mine i wanna try. but great work man only thing i would of done differently would be to run the bead around the collector last over the stops on the seam welds but again i love it.

  • @The1SlickMick you have to purge headers once you hit thr flow bench oh yeah

  • @The1SlickMick i weld them the way specified by the contractee.what would happen if i were to just say fuck the procedure i'll do it my way or better yet the way some dude on the internet told me.and yes the welds inside are flat and goldish pink due to the argon purge located in the collector at the weld

  • He Fritz... Are you using scratch start on these? i saw u tap the electrode a couple times.. but also hear u say something about the pedal being f-ed up..

  • Thanks. that makes much more sense.

  • @bsmitty8 I think he or she is using scratch start tig, not foot control

  • Oh! professional.

  • how are you controlling the torch when you are doing your tack welds? are you using a foot pedal? I'm curious how you get it to "pop" like that when you're tacking. are you setting the machine at the max you need for the piece and then just pressing the pedal all the way down immediately? Dig your vids.
