The ring that turns people to stone! I believe this might just be the very first movie which portrays the idea of, and is purely devoted to, petrification as the main idea and plot line throughout the entire movie. And, the special effects aren't too bad either! There are statues galore created by this scientist who invents a ray which can petrify a human being into a solid stone statue, and restore the statue back to life again! He mounts these rays onto a ring he wears, so he can easily freeze ANYONE into a statue, at will. And, he does. He goes to a party and turns some waiters & several couples into statues as they are dancing. Then, goes to a museum and unfreezes statues into people, and reverses the effect later, changing them back into the statues they were. Wonderful idea! Clip 2 of the movie. Please bear with the quality, as this movie almost disintegrated from its age. Thank goodness it was saved!
