@TimeSaver4 He just means there's enough units to do significant damage to your opponent. Like if you have 7 banshees together you can one-shot stalkers and take them out very quickly.

can anyone explain what blizshouter means when he says a unit has reached critical mass, and if so, then how do you figure out the critical mass of units?

@Tasadi88 Actually "StarCraft 2 - SC396/1" would be better than "StarCraft 2 - SC396 ... Part 1" because youtube consistently crops the end of long titles at end of play.
