Okay...I have no hate for Vannessa Hudgens...But please step away from rent...and just boradway in general...This goes to Taylor Swift in Les Mis...along with Nick Jonas in How to succssed...
I get they have talent, but Disney kind. And I'm all for getting more people into theatre, but please get a cast fro their talent, not for their pr-created fame.

here's my problem with vanessa hudgens. She's a very good actress I will admit, but her singing could use a lot of work. But it was all edited in High School Musical so now everybody thinks she can sing and giving her big singing roles like this thereby butchering them.
my advice, stick to acting vanessa.

@PippaCullen Sharp more than half the song? You're being more than a bit dramatic. I'll admit she didn't sound good in "Out Tonight", but this one is not that bad. There a few messy notes and some failed riff attempts, but other than that she sounds good.

She's sharp more then half of the song, her voice is way too whiney, and I really wish she would get off the stage. I've seen so many different productions of RENT, and have perfourmed in it. I know every note to every part, especially Mimi's, and Vanessa seriously butchered it. She has talent, don't get me wrong, just not for Broadway. She needs to keep to being on Disney and entertaining little kids with her cheap imitation of a Musical they created.
