Awaking refreshed and ready, we knew our final day of riding would be filled with challenging weather. But the damp Northern California climate wasn't too imposing, as the moist air and damp road felt like home. Our route would take us through familiar real estate, hugging the coast and gigantic Coastal Redwood forests before cutting up into Oregon on US-199 - the Redwood Highway. The giant trees were a good setting for the newest model in our SST comparo, Kawasaki's colossal Concours 14.

The C14 is a sport-touring platform built around a 1352cc Inline-Four and monocoque frame. Like the gargantuan trees we began to encounter north of Mendocino, the Kawasaki powerplant dwarfs its competitors.

  • Who are these guys ? "BIKE GOOD! BIKE GO FAST!MOTOR MAKE NOISE! Inarticulate much? Should call it DOOFUSES USA!

  • I like how they synched a shot of the C-14 raising it's front wheel with the comment the bike's "front wheel felt very heavy"...

    LOL.

I've owned one for 9 months now and have found the Concours-14 is definitely a "thrill ride"

  • cool

  • OMG, this thing looks like a slug. Sure, great motor but dynamics suck. I would run a Guzzie Norge against it on any curves and kick butt.

  • @jibiuro me too I just said something similar. They say the same thing for every motorcycle. Good bike, let's you get on it, goes when you twist the throttle (hah that's one they say the most lol imagine a car review, the car goes when you put your foot on the gas pedal lol noway really? haha)

  • @sporttourer1 I know it really annoys me how almost every crappy motorcycle vid says those same exact things. They don't talk about much specifics to the bike like what the gauges have for features and design, storage space, engine features and advances, etc. It's always the same thing, "rides nice, fast, turns good. DUH lol

  • God these "reviews" are so superficial.

    "Yeah...it's powerful."

    "Uh...doesn't turn in good."

Awesome. Where the hell did you people get hired from, McDonalds?

  • this is my problem .. im confusin between the FJR and c14 ...

i think i will go for thiz one :P

  • that's why being an engineer does not mean you should do a review... There is a bunch of engineers who can THINK and EXPLAIN properly.. I didn't see him talking about the main issues that C14 has. I own a C14 as well and I have seen better reviews by high school kids...Sorry, motorcycleUSA just sucks...

  • why attack the guy? he has a point dude.. ( I don't understand where he is trying to get though )calm down and write back if you have something smart to say, otherwise don't label people..

  • I am 6'3" and own this bike for 1.5 years.. put 22000 miles on it.

what I need for long day rides,

    - an after market tall windshield

    - probably a corbin seat ( the stock one is ok too )

    - heated gloves or grips in case of very low degrees..

    - cruise control or a simple cramp buster..

    - rear trunk with a rest pad for my passenger.

It rides very smooth, powerful even at low rpm . comfortable as a sport touring could be..

handles perfect especially with michelin PR2s. ( I hated the bridgestones )

  • I hate their ridiculously unsupported reviews.. Now, they are praising the connie, months later, comparing the sport touring bikes, they will put her down...

I love my c14 and hate motorcycleUSA reviews....
